Art in Use

Art in Use is my way of giving back what art once gave me. It changed the way I saw myself and the world. I hope these works inspire others to discover that same possibility.

About me

Svetlana Mandic / Lana

I am a proud holder of a Master's degree in Graphic Design, an illustrator, and a romantic dreamer who believes creativity has the power to change the way we see ourselves and the world around us.

My journey has taken me through the world of advertising, design, and visual storytelling, but beyond every profession and title, I have always been guided by a simple belief: that imagination can help us build a kinder, more meaningful future.

Art in Use is where my experience meets my dreams, where design becomes a conversation, and where every idea has the possibility to create a small change in the world.

Client

Humanity

Art in Use has only one client: humanity. While my professional experience taught me how to build brands and communicate ideas, this project asks a different question: What if every creative brief also asked what it could contribute to people and the world around them?

I believe advertising is one of the most powerful forms of communication ever created.

My hope is not to move away from it, but to imagine what becomes possible when its creativity, insight, and influence are used not only to grow brands, but also to help humanity grow alongside them.

Awards

  • Instagram

Art in Use is an evolving collection. While this website features a curated selection, my Instagram serves as its living gallery, where you can explore past works, new creations, and the ideas that continue to shape the project.

Awards are meaningful moments of connection between an idea and the world. But the greatest achievement for Art in Use would be finding the collaborators and partners who share this belief: that creativity can be used not only to communicate ideas, but to create a better future together.
