The geisha-robot was created to serve life, yet also carries the ability to take it. This duality is expressed through her visual language: a rising red sun symbolizing life, combined with subtle horn-like elements suggesting danger and death.

A concept artwork created by me, directly inspired by the visual language of Ghost in the Shell. This piece explores human energy and creativity, asking a simple question: what ignites our inner spark, and what has the power to extinguish it?

A collage of images discovered online, labelled simply as “AI Modified.” These works clearly reference visual elements from the Ghost in the Shell universe, yet they exist in a grey area between inspiration, transformation, and reproduction. These images raise an important question: where is the line between inspiration and simply changing what already exists?
Inspiration vs. Modification
Every artist needs references.
We look at paintings, photographs, films, nature, people, and the world around us. Inspiration is not copying. It is taking something that touched us and transforming it through our own experiences.The important difference is simple:
Inspiration creates a new voice. Modification only changes the appearance.

DTIYS is a beautiful example of creative exchange. An artist shares an idea and invites others to reinterpret it. The goal is not to make an identical copy. The goal is to show how the same idea can become something different through another person’s imagination. The original artist is respected. The new artist adds their own vision.
That is how creativity grows.
AI: Tool or Replacement?
AI is a tool.
Like a camera, a computer, or a paintbrush, it can help artists explore and create. In the hands of a creator, it can become a powerful assistant. It can help develop ideas, improve sketches, test possibilities, and open new creative doors. But a tool cannot replace the most important part of art:
The idea.
Where Is The Line?
The line is crossed when someone takes another artist’s recognizable work, changes it with AI, and presents it as their own creation. A filter can change an image. A machine can create a variation. But neither one creates the personal story, intention, and experience behind the original idea.
The Bottom Line
The future of creativity will not belong to those who use the strongest tools. It will belong to those who have something meaningful to share. AI can imitate the appearance of creation. Only humans can give creation a purpose.
If we want a future filled with original ideas, we need to protect the people behind them: artists, designers, writers, and creators.
Because creativity is not only about making something new. It is about bringing something human into the world.
